Getting to West Palisades - Paces Mill Entrance

I really like the West Palisades Paces Mill site on the Chattahoochee. However, I seem to have the worst time trying to remember how to get there. Here are directions to Cobb Galleria that will get you to Cobb Parkway (which is US 41). You turn left (south) on Cobb Parkway; the entrance to the park is just to your right after the BP station.

Alternatively, you can use this set of directions which have you coming north on US 41/Cobb Parkway and remember to go to your left before you get to the BP station.

Julie and I went out early on Friday and spent a few hours walking the trails, both along the Chattahoochee and also up Rottenwood Creek. On the creek, we could see all sorts of fairly fat looking redears and bluegill, along with a couple of what appeared to be smaller trout. The main NPS page for the Paces Mill site is here:

Most people's view of the Chattahoochee system is colored by the first site they visit. Paces Mill is one of the prettiest parts of the Hooch - it might be a good place to start.

Our other fun yesterday included visiting Fox Brothers Bar-B-Q for dinner and the outstanding fireworks show in Decatur. Here are the directions to Fox Brothers. We had to wait half an hour or so, but it was a nice day to stand outside; they have a good beer selection as well.
