See this nice two-part article here from chadm on Linux App Finder. In order to actually use your BlackBerry to store music, photos, etc. so that Linux can see them on a mass-storage device, you'll need to purchase and install a micro-SD card. Here's a link to a 2GB card from SanDisk at Amazon for $12 plus shipping, or you can go uptown and buy the 4GB card for less than $20. Pretty amazing - I'm actually considering doing this because my BlackBerry camera is far superior to the camera on my old Treo 650. It's actually useful.
